The Supreme Air Products™ Oil Removal Filter is an essential high-performance component for applications requiring technically oil-free air. While standard filters remove bulk water and dirt, they often allow microscopic oil aerosols and mists to pass through. Our coalescing filters utilize a specialized borosilicate glass microfiber element to trap 99.99% of oil aerosols down to 0.01 micron. This level of purity is critical when using Vortex Tubes for cooling food products or when using Air Knives for drying painted surfaces where even a trace of oil can cause “fisheyes” or product contamination.

Installation Pro-Tip: The “Two-Stage” Rule

To ensure your Oil Removal Filter lasts as long as possible:

  • Pre-Filtration is Mandatory: Always install a Supreme Air Products™ 5-Micron Auto-Drain Filter immediately upstream of the Oil Removal Filter. The 5-micron filter removes the “bulk” water and dirt, allowing the expensive coalescing element to focus solely on removing fine oil mists.
  • Mounting Position: Ensure the filter is mounted vertically to allow the automatic drain to function correctly via gravity.
