When installed correctly on a properly sealed NEMA-rated cabinet, Supreme Air Products enclosure coolers will not cause condensation. They operate by introducing dry, conditioned compressed air into the cabinet. This maintains a slight positive pressure inside the enclosure, which continuously purges warm air and actively prevents humid ambient air and moisture from entering.

CFM (Cubic Feet per Minute) measures the actual volume of air flowing under varying local conditions. SCFM (Standard Cubic Feet per Minute) measures the volume of air standardized to a specific set of conditions (typically 14.7 psia, 68°F, and 0% relative humidity). Using SCFM is critical because it allows you to accurately compare the air consumption and efficiency of pneumatic tools regardless of your facility’s local temperature and pressure fluctuations.

Static eliminators neutralize existing static charges on a material’s surface, but they cannot permanently immune the material from future charges. If your part undergoes further friction, separates from other materials, or is handled roughly after passing the ionizing bar or knife, a completely new static charge will be generated.
Standard compressed-air-driven air knives are engineered with extremely tight gaps designed for high-pressure systems (typically 60-100+ PSI). Blower systems operate on high volume but very low pressure (single-digit PSI). You cannot use our standard compressed air knives with a blower; they will not function.

Temperature limits depend primarily on the construction material. Supreme Air Products™ aluminum air knives generally withstand up to 250°F (121°C). Our stainless steel models can safely operate in severe environments up to 800°F (427°C), provided the appropriate high-temperature shims and hardware are utilized.

Our performance charts outline the cold airflow volumes and temperature drops you can expect at various inlet pressures and “cold fractions” (the percentage of total input air that exhausts as cold air). This chart is a tuning guide, helping you balance your setup for maximum overall cooling capacity (Btu/hr) versus the lowest possible absolute temperature.
Our high-powered reversible drum pump systems can easily pull vertical suction lifts of up to 15 feet (4.5 meters) when transferring standard liquids like water or machine coolants. Highly viscous or thick liquids will reduce this maximum lift capability.
Infrared heat guns measure the external surface temperature of your cabinet walls, which is heavily influenced by the ambient factory air and radiant heat. To accurately size an enclosure cooler, you must know the true internal air temperature. Always use a digital thermometer or thermocouple placed directly inside the panel near your most heat-sensitive components.
Yes, while we offer optimized standard hose lengths, custom or extended hoses can be supplied for your specific application requirements. Keep in mind that excessive hose length increases friction, which can slightly reduce suction lift capabilities and extend fill/empty times.
A vortex tube is a mechanical device with no moving parts. Compressed air enters a cylindrical chamber tangentially, creating a cyclone spinning at up to 1,000,000 RPM. This primary vortex travels down the tube. A valve at the hot end forces the center of the air column to reverse direction and travel back up the middle. This inner stream transfers its heat energy to the outer stream, resulting in extremely cold air exhausting from one end and hot air from the other.
Yes, pulsing the air supply is an excellent way to conserve compressed air and lower energy costs. Because our air knives, air nozzles, and air amplifiers have no moving parts to wear out, rapid cycling is perfectly safe. We recommend using a high-cycle solenoid valve for this setup.

Supreme Air Products™ engineered nozzles vary by size, material (aluminum, stainless steel), total flow rate, blowoff force, and spray pattern (focused pinpoint vs. wide fan). Selecting the right nozzle comes down to your required force, spatial constraints, and whether the environment contains corrosive chemicals or high heat.

We advise keeping ductwork as short and straight as possible. While you can attach ducting to an air amplifier, backpressure builds up quickly. Excessive duct lengths or sharp elbows will severely choke the airflow, drastically reducing the amplifier’s entrainment ratio and overall output performance.
Shims dictate the size of the air gap inside the knife and are color-coded for quick visual identification of their thickness (typically ranging from .001″ to .004″). Thicker shims open the gap wider, delivering a higher volume of air and more blowoff force, but they will consume more compressed air in the process.

Air knives and 360-degree air wipes require a large, unrestricted volume of compressed air to pressurize their internal chambers uniformly. The cold exhaust produced by a vortex tube simply does not have the volume or the pressure required to successfully operate these devices.
Standard air amplifiers utilize a fixed, precision-machined internal shim to determine the air gap, ensuring consistent, tamper-proof performance. Adjustable air amplifiers feature a threaded rotating collar, allowing operators to manually open or close the gap to fine-tune the airflow and force for varying production runs.

You have three primary options to increase blowoff force:

  1. Increase the compressed air line pressure at your regulator (maximum 250 PSI).

Uneven airflow is almost always caused by an internal restriction or starved air supply. First, disassemble the air knife and clean the shim and internal plenum of any debris. If the unit is clean, ensure your supply plumbing is large enough. Long air knives require air supply at both ends; if the pipe is too small, the pressure drops before reaching the center, creating a dead spot.

This is the result of the Coanda effect and ambient air entrainment. The high-velocity sheet of compressed air exiting the knife creates a low-pressure area that aggressively pulls in surrounding room air. By the time the stream hits a target 6 inches away, the total volume of moving air is significantly higher than the compressed air consumed.
No, our inline air conveyors are explicitly designed for moving dry bulk materials, powders, fumes, and lightweight solids. Attempting to pump liquids through them will result in severe blowback and inefficient operation.
Most circular blowoff applications perform excellently between 80 to 100 PSIG. However, our air wipes can operate safely at higher pressures or be regulated down to lower pressures to conserve air and optimize the impact force for lighter-duty wiping tasks.

No. Supreme Air Products™ air knives are precisely machined, and their end caps are drilled and sealed to ensure an airtight internal chamber. Cutting an air knife will ruin the internal plenum, making it impossible to seal and destroying its functionality. We offer custom factory lengths instead.

The most frequent issues are:

  • Low inlet pressure: You need 80-100 PSI dynamic pressure right at the tube.
  • Hot supply air: Tubes create a temperature drop. If your supply air is 100°F, a 50°F drop only yields 50°F air.
  • Internal clogs: Debris in the generator restricts the vortex.
  • Backpressure: Any restriction on the cold exhaust ruins the temperature drop.
