What is an Air Amplifier?
Air Amplifier General Supreme Air Products
An Amplifier will increase airflow up to 30 times at the outlet by entraining the surrounding air. It also has an infinitely adjustable gap which can regulate the air consumption and outflow from a “breeze” to a “blast”.

Supreme Air Products Adjustable Air Amplifiers are offered in aluminum or stainless-Steel material suitable for high temperature applications. We offer sizes ranging from ¾ inch to 4 inches.
How does a Air Amplifier work?
(1) Compressed air enters the Air Generating unit through a female NPT inlet. It is forced out through a small adjustable gap and travels over a series of angles into the air chamber at a high velocity.
(2) The airflow exits the air chamber over a ‘coanda’ profile, thereby creating a vacuum which entrains the surrounding air into the primary airstream.
(3) This combined flow of primary & surrounding air is then exhausted from the Air Amplifier at a high velocity and high volume.
Important Information
Air Amplifiers are easily mounted by a hose and clamp or by using our Air Amplifier Mount found in the “Accessories” section. Airflow rate is easily adjusted on the amplifier by loosening the locking ring and turning the insert in a clockwise direction to minimize the output or counterclockwise direction to maximize the output. Air amplifiers are preset to .002” gap from the factory.

Air Amplifier FAQs
1. Can my compressed air pressure be increased with an Air Amplifier?
No. The Adjustable Air Amplifier only amplifies volume, not pressure. The outlet pressures are well below 1 PSIG. The Air Amplifiers takes energy from a small volume of compressed air to produce its high velocity, high volume, low pressure output airflow.
2. How do I mount the Air Amplifier?
A rigid air pipe is the optimal way to mount the Air Amplifier. The rigid air pipe will easily hold up to the very large air flow created.
3. Can I connect the cold end of a Vortex Tube to an Air Amplifier?
No. The Air Amplifier would restrict the air flow of the Vortex Tube to the point where back-pressure would limit the cooling capacity of the Vortex Tube. The cold end of the Vortex Tube should not be subjected to a backpressure in excess of 5 PSIG.
4. I’d like to attach ducting to the Air Amplifier, how much ducting is ok?
We recommend a maximum of 15′ of ducting on the exhaust side of the Air Amplifier and a maximum of 5′ of duct on the intake side of the Air Amplifier.
